NeoTimber’s composite balustrade spindles offer structural support, and look smart and stylish. We cover the benefits of using NeoTimber®.
Our composite deck spindles are designed not only to function as a barrier but as a frame through which to view your garden. Our composite deck spindles don’t reflect the glare of the sun, like chrome, steel or glass, but instead quietly blend with their surroundings.
Unlike timber spindles, composite deck spindles are designed to withstand all weathers. Timber balusters and spindles can become cracked, warped and are prone to splitting. This can weaken the structure of your balustrade and can present a hazard when used on a raised deck or balcony.
Technical Specifications Of Composite Spindles
Designed to slot easily between the two balustrade rails into the pre-moulded slots, these decking balustrade spindles are building regulations compliant and spaced at 97mm for maximum safety of young ones. Each spindle is 966mm long and has a diameter of 19mm. They do not need to be cut for straight balustrades, but you will need to cut them to 896mm, as per the installation guide, for stair balustrades.
Made from a tube of aluminium, the spindles are lightweight for installation but secure as a barrier for ensuring maximum safety of all users.
Advantages Of Composite Deck Spindles
Building Regulations Compliant
In designing a solution for all applications, we have sought to fulfil building regulations with the build quality and the robustness of design, whilst still creating spindles and balustrades which are both beautiful as a garden ornament and functional as a safe perimeter. According to building regulations, spacings on spindles should be no more than 100mm apart, ours are spaced at 96mm. We have pre-moulded slots for the decking balustrade spindles to sit in to ensure perfect spacing every time.
Powder Coated Black
Powder coated in matt black, NeoTimber’s composite spindles for decking provide a striking contrast to all five of our balustrade colours. Black spindles blend well with our chocolate brown, antique white, charcoal black, grey and teak balustrades, decking and cladding ranges making the perfect symphony of texture and tone.
Low Maintenance
Because of their simple design, NeoTimber® aluminium composite deck spindles require little to no maintenance. Coated in matt textured powder coating, they resist fading and tarnishing and do not rust. The simplest wipe-down and your composite balustrades and spindles are as good as new. You don’t need to use any special detergents or cleaning agents, just use warm soapy water and a little elbow grease and your composite porch spindles will be clean and shiny again.
