Introducing the complete composite deck railing solution.

NeoTimber’s composite deck railing is designed to enable you to complete your deck with matching balustrades. Made of the same stunning capped composite material, composite deck railings, supplied in a component form, are perfect for commercial and home-based installs, and anyone willing to take on DIY deck installation.

Traditional steel railings and wood balustrades and handrails are a strong perimeter for exteriors. However, unlike their traditional counterparts, NeoTimber® composite deck railings require very little maintenance. Steel will require treatment to avoid corrosion, stainless steel will need regular polishing, as will glass, and timber is prone to warping, fading, cracking and rot.

Technical Specifications Of Composite Balustrade Railings

NeoTimber® composite railing is made of composite wood, comprised of 60% wood fibres, 30% recycled plastic and 10% resin. Housing solid steel inserts and post mounts, they provide rigidity and stability to the whole balustrade set ensuring complete safety and peace of mind to you, the installer. Rails are supplied with pre-moulded inserts for composite deck spindles to ensure a safe distance between them.

Deck railing handrails are supplied approximately at 1.8 metres long, they will need to be cut to length depending on whether they are to be used vertically or on an angle for stairs. Balustrade posts are approximately 1.3 metres high, with the post mounts being supplied at a height of 1.1 metres. Both the posts and post mounts should be cut down to size as shown in the installation guide.

Advantages Of Composite Deck Railings

Capped Composite Material

Capped composite material is a second-generation composite which protects against moisture, fading and warping. Unlike traditional composite, capped composite is sheathed in a polymer shell which protects the inner material, ensuring a watertight seal. When timber is left untreated it can warp and can experience cracking and splintering. Composite railings provide a safe barrier so should be kept in good order to ensure the safety of those using the facility. Our low-maintenance composite balustrade railings do not warp or rot.

Contrasting Aluminium Spindles

Our capped composite railings are available in five stunning colours, charcoal, antique, chocolate, grey and teak. With contrasting black powder coated aluminium spindles, the NeoTimber® deck railing is a smart, striking alternative to timber or steel. Matching in with post caps, skirts and handrail end caps, the spindles sit vertically between the two rails at set intervals of 97mm giving a safe, strong opening for your balustrades. Consider a grey composite deck with black railing for a unique look.

Easy To Install

Installing composite deck railing is straight forward. The balustrade railing is supplied as a set of components which are lightweight and easy to install. This means that you can install your balustrade section-by-section simply and easily without the need for extra professional assistance. When installing composite deck railing posts fix steel post mounts to a solid surface, timber decking, concrete or composite decking, slide the composite sleeve over the post mounts and attach your handrails and spindles, easy.

Five Colour Options

Owing to the success and popularity of our composite decking colour range, we are proud to offer our composite deck railings in the same five stunning colour ranges. Choose teak composite railings which look like wood. Grey is a modern choice and adds an extremely contemporary cool vibe to your area. Chocolate brown has the look of mahogany, antique white has an ancient timeless look about it, without the peeling varnish, whereas charcoal black offers you a truly unique bold option.
