Our NeoTimber® range of recycled plastic lumber is a long-life timber alternative that is the ideal eco-friendly sub-frame partner to our composite deck boards.

As a business that focuses on offering long-life, low-maintenance outdoor solutions, we are often left scratching our heads when we find customers opting to lay our 25-year warranty deck boards onto a timber subframe. We believe that not opting for a decking subframe solution that offers just as much protection from the elements as our deck boards is simply counter-intuitive.

For that reason – we have worked hard to bring to market our own range of high-quality, eco-friendly recycled plastic lumber that’s been designed with both longevity and low maintenance in mind.

Versatile and easy-to-install, these plastic lumber subframe solutions are guaranteed to fit the bill for those projects which require ultimate protection from the elements. Below, we introduce you to our three latest subframe products, highlighting their key benefits and applications.

NeoTimber® Recycled Plastic Lumber

Confused on what solution might be best for your project? We introduce the three products that make up our NeoTimber® plastic lumber product range and outline their core applications… So whether you’re faced with a complex roof terrace project, or looking at the difficult task of creating a raised decking project – we aim to take you a step closer to figuring out your most suited subframe solution.

Installing a low-lying deck straight onto a solid concrete base? Our Small Plastic Joist offers the perfect subframe, allowing for adequate airflow underneath your boards and performing brilliantly when exposed to wet conditions (it simply won’t rot). If you are faced with requiring a little more height or are looking at installing onto a roof terrace, this joist will also work well with our adjustable pedestal system.

The 120mm x 50mm Large Plastic Joist is a 5 x 2 timber alternative built to last. This versatile recycled plastic lumber solution can be used to construct a bearer and joist network on raised decking projects (easy when used with our Plastic Post) or can alternatively be used hand-in-hand with our adjustable pedestal solutions to construct a heavy-duty, subframe solution for balcony and roof terrace composite decking projects.

Faced with uneven, soft ground and require a reliable post system? NeoTimber’s 100mm x 100mm solid structural Plastic Post is designed to form the reliable, long-life building blocks of your raised decking project, and offers an exceptional, long-life base for your subframe. Elevating your decking project much like traditional timber posts, the plastic post system will not absorb water, so is ideal for even the wettest of environments.
