Here’s a quick run down of everything you need to know about premium composite fencing.

What is premium composite fencing? There are many composite fencing suppliers on the market, but few can boast the same longevity and high quality that NeoTimber’s fencing solution can. From the capped composite material the composite fence slats and composite fence posts are made from, to the metal framework beneath it, NeoTimber’s entire premium composite fencing system is built to last, from top to bottom. It’s customisable, adaptable to different applications, and can even be retrofitted between pre-existing fencing posts. In this article, we will break down what makes our premium composite fencing special, component by component. Let’s take a look…

Capped Composite Material

As a relatively new garden landscaping material, there have been lots of developments to improve composite building material products. However, many composite fencing suppliers still use first-generation or traditional composite, and this iteration of the material has many flaws. To begin with, it is more prone to the effects of fading when left exposed to prolonged sunlight, meaning the high-quality fencing colours are less long-lasting. First-generation composite can also fall foul to occasional mould or mildew growth. Though this is rare and can be tackled with general cleaning, it can still leave your fencing momentarily not looking its best.

To counter these negative flaws, all of NeoTimber’s premium composite fencing is made from capped material. This means the composite core of the composite fence boards and fence posts is protected with an additional plastic layer. The capped layer is imbued with UV inhibitors, to minimise the effects of fading, and will lock out moisture. It also has the added benefit of being easier to clean, needing only a simple wipe-down should any sign of staining or persistent marking occur.

Durable Metal Components

Working in tandem with our composite fence slats and posts, are the metal components that make up the framework of the completed composite fence panel. Our post caps and railings are powder coated to colour match the tone of the boards, for a seamless look. The railings act as a channel for the boards to be stacked on top of one another, before being screwed into place. Beneath the sleeve of the composite fence post are our metal post supports. We have designed fence post sets for both hard and soft ground applications, so you can easily fit our premium composite fencing system no matter the installation application or specifications of your space.

You can buy our composite fencing component-by-component, or use our easy-to-use fencing kit builder to buy completed composite fence panels. To work out how many premium composite fencing panels your project will need, measure the linear meterage of the proposed building site, and input the information into our helpful online fencing calculator. This will then give you an estimate of your requirements. Please note; that this number is an approximation, and we would still strongly recommend chatting to one of our dedicated sales team for a more accurate quote.

Nice Stylish Additions

Though long life and security are important when choosing fencing, it is not the only factor worth considering. Many long-life fencing options, such as concrete, can be bland and uninteresting. At NeoTimber®, we believe that your fencing should serve as the backdrop to your garden space, and should complement it as such. Our premium composite fencing can be bought in two different textures: the realistic, reversible woodgrain and brushed effect of our Deluxe boards, or the linear, stacked effect of our Slatted. These in turn can be purchased in five colours: the dark black charcoal, the neutral grey, the subtle antique, or the naturalistic teak and chocolate.

The top two boards of the panel can also be swapped out in place of one of four metal cut-out screen designs, for an extra fencing flair. You can choose from our Linear, Geometric, Contemporary, and Leaf designs. These decorative metal screens are powder-coated to colour-match your chosen tone and allow more light and airflow into your space. If you’re not sure what colour would best suit your project, you can explore our digital fencing visualiser page for a CGI render of how the fencing would look. Alternatively, you can click through our fencing gallery and fencing case studies pages, or order yourself some free cut-off premium composite fencing samples to see NeoTimber® quality for your self.

The Ability To Refresh

We have tried to build our premium composite fencing so that it works with every space, hence why we have included many design options. You can even finish your fencing with a matching composite gate, made up of stacked fencing boards held into place with a metal frame. But what if you want to build your fencing to work with what you already have? If you are refreshing your garden space, its likely that you will already have the skeleton of a previous fencing build already in place. If the framework is still in good shape, it seems a shame to rip it up entirely and start again. So what can you do?

At NeoTimber®, we believe every project deserves the high-quality standards of our premium composite fencing. We have designed special inserts for both concrete and timber fencing posts, which allow you to stack our composite fencing boards and fence board capping rails between what you have already built. If the distance between your fencing posts falls short of the required 1.8m, you can cut our fencing boards down to size with a hacksaw, just like real timber. Please note; that cutting your boards to fit pre-existing posts may void your warranty. You can explore more terms and exclusions of our warranty by clicking here.

NeoTimber’s premium composite fencing is the best of its kind on the market. Its metal framework helps to keep it firmly rooted in position, and the capped composite of the posts and panels helps to keep its colour longer than other fencing alternatives. With five colours, four metal screen designs, and two textures to choose from, you can customise your fencing to match any space with ease. Finally, we have included the ability to retrofit what you already have, so you can make more out of a previous investment. When looking to refresh your fencing, for both form and function, look nowhere else but NeoTimber®.
