FAQs

Get quick answers to the most common questions.

What are the dimensions of the NeoTimber® Recycled Plastic Deck Post?

The NeoTimber® Recycled Plastic Deck Post measures 100mm x 100mm x 3100mm, providing a strong and stable solution for structural support in raised decking applications.

What is the correct way to install the plastic post?

For optimal performance, the post should be set into soft ground using concrete to create a secure, stable base. This provides reliable support for joists and bearers, ensuring long-term strength and durability in your decking subframe structure.

Is the NeoTimber® Plastic Lumber Post resistant to rot and moisture?

Yes, unlike timber, the NeoTimber® plastic post is fully resistant to rot, decay, and water absorption. This makes it an ideal choice for damp or wet environments where traditional wood would be prone to deterioration.

Can the Recycled Plastic Deck Post be cut to size?

The post can be easily trimmed to the required length to suit your project. For best performance, we recommend avoiding cuts along its length to maintain full structural strength. Any slight length variations are within manufacturing tolerances and do not affect performance.

Will the colour of the plastic post be consistent?

Due to the use of recycled materials, slight variations in colour and shade may occur between posts. These differences are purely cosmetic and do not impact the product’s quality, strength, or performance.
