NeoTimber Self-Levelling Adjustable Plastic Deck Pedestal Risers

Description

NeoTimber® Self-Levelling Adjustable Plastic Deck Pedestal Risers provide a smart, adaptable subframe solution, purpose-built to elevate your decking framework without the need for posts. Ideal for raised decks on solid surfaces such as patios or roof terraces, these self-levelling deck pedestals deliver excellent ventilation beneath the boards and promote effective drainage.

Featuring a ball and socket floating head that automatically compensates for slopes between 0–5%, our self-levelling pedestals ensure a stable, level deck surface even on uneven or tapered ground. That makes them a practical choice for roof terraces and patios laid with a drainage fall, where a fixed-head pedestal would need packing or shims to sit true.

The wide cradle design allows for quick installation and perfectly accommodates our range of NeoTimber® recycled plastic lumber joists. Each adjustable pedestal riser includes a joist cradle, so you're ready to build straight out of the box.

Made from 90% recycled polypropylene and 100% recyclable, these plastic deck pedestals are built for long-term performance and will not rot, even in challenging weather. Use your own accurate plans to calculate the quantities needed for your deck layout.

FAQs

Get quick answers to the most common questions.

What are self-levelling deck pedestal risers used for?

They create a stable, elevated subframe for raised decking on solid surfaces such as patios, roof terraces or concrete, removing the need for traditional posts. They are especially useful where the base has a slight slope or drainage fall.

How does the self-levelling head work?

Each pedestal has a ball and socket floating head that pivots to compensate for slopes between 0% and 5%. This keeps the joist cradle level on tapered or uneven surfaces without the need for packing or shims.

What sizes are available for the Self-Levelling Pedestals?

There are five sizes covering a height range from 28mm to 321mm: 28-36mm, 36-46mm, 46-76mm, 76-156mm and 156-321mm. Choose the size that suits the finished height of your deck.

How are these different from standard adjustable pedestals?

Standard adjustable pedestals have a fixed head, so they work best on a level base. Self-levelling pedestals have a pivoting head that corrects for slopes of up to 5%, making them the better choice for surfaces laid to a fall.

What are the pedestals made from, and are they durable?

Each pedestal is made from 90% recycled polypropylene and is 100% recyclable. They are long lasting and will not rot, even in harsh weather conditions.
