Composite Fencing Prices: Panel Sets, Components and Buying Advice

composite fencing prices

Understand Panel and Component Prices Before You Order

Composite fencing prices make more sense when you know exactly what each product includes. A single board, a panel set and a complete installed boundary are different purchases, so the lowest headline figure is not necessarily the cost of the fence you need.

How much is composite fencing? NeoTimber’s standard Deluxe and Slatted panel sets are currently advertised from £240 including VAT, with configuration affecting the selected price. Your total also needs to account for the full support arrangement, any additional components, delivery and installation.

This guide separates product prices from the wider project budget. Visit our fencing guide for an introduction, or explore the composite fencing collection to check live prices.

What Does a Panel Set Include?

A panel set groups components for a particular assembly. New-post variants and existing-post variants have different support contents, so check the exact selection rather than assuming that every set is identical.

Also review the whole layout. A straight run using shared posts needs its end support accounted for, while corners, gates and changes in level require further checks. Buying one set does not automatically resolve every connection around the boundary.

The components guide explains the role of boards, posts, inserts, rails and caps. When ordering separate parts, check which items are already included in a set to avoid buying them twice.

Turn a Composite Fencing Price Into a Project Estimate

Start with a measured sketch of each fence run. Include the height, corners, level changes and gate openings, then use the selected system’s installed dimensions to establish the layout. Board length alone is not necessarily the installed bay width.

The fence panel calculator can help estimate materials and costs. Review the result against the actual site and product instructions before treating it as an order list.

A Simple Product-Only Illustration

Five sets at an advertised starting price of £240 would total £1,200. This is a multiplication example, not a complete fence quotation: the selected variants may cost more, and the layout may need extra end supports or other parts.

Add any missing components, delivery, groundwork, removal and installation. Do not convert this example directly into a cost per metre without confirming the actual finished layout and dimensions.

How Existing Posts Affect the Price

Retaining suitable supports can reduce new materials and removal work. Compatible inserts allow boards to be fitted to certain existing timber or concrete posts, but their condition, foundations, dimensions and spacing must be assessed first.

Inserts do not repair decayed timber, cracked concrete or inadequate foundations. A retrofit price needs to include any remedial work before it can be compared fairly with a new-post installation.

Where cutting is permitted, follow the installation instructions. Do not assume that every opening is suitable simply because a board can be shortened.

Installation, Groundwork and Delivery Are Separate Checks

Labour is project-specific. Removing an old boundary, excavating foundations, dealing with poor access and working around slopes can all change the quotation. Installation should not be assumed to cost the same as timber fencing on every site.

Ask installers to define the included work: preparation, foundations, assembly, waste removal and reinstatement. If you plan to fit the fence yourself, allow for tools, equipment and foundation materials as well as your time.

Check the current delivery policy for your location and service. Free-delivery eligibility, regional charges and faster-service costs differ. Plan access and unloading rather than assuming delivery includes carrying the materials to the fence line.

Compare Value Alongside the Purchase Price

Composite can cost more initially than some standard timber options, while avoiding routine painting or staining of the supplied finish. Overall value depends on the particular products, installation and care assumptions.

Compare quotations for the same height, length and scope, then consider realistic cleaning, coating and repair needs over your chosen ownership period. Do not assume guaranteed lifetime savings from the material name alone.

Review the care requirements and warranty terms. Conditional cover is different from a guaranteed lifespan, and normal weathering does not necessarily mean a covered defect.

Fencing Price FAQs

How much is composite fencing from NeoTimber®?

At the stated check date, standard Deluxe and Slatted panel sets were advertised from £240 including VAT. Confirm the current variant price and add any extra components, delivery and installation.

Why do two panel set prices differ?

Dimensions, supports, decorative screens and package contents can affect the selected price. Compare the exact configuration rather than starting prices alone.

Does the panel price include installation?

The listed figures here are product prices. Groundwork, fitting, removal and other services need to be checked separately.

Are individual boards cheaper than a panel set?

Compare the complete component list. A board price excludes the remaining assembly parts, and separate purchases are not automatically cheaper overall.

Can a calculator provide an exact quotation?

It provides an estimate based on the information entered. Review site conditions, quantities and special details with the supplier or installer before ordering.

How can I avoid unnecessary spending?

Measure carefully, compare samples before buying, check set contents and retain existing supports only where suitable. Review the complete delivered and installed total.
