Introducing NeoTimber’s composite decking fascia boards, designed to cover exposed edges and step risings.
Introducing NeoTimber’s brand new decking fascia boards, perfect for covering the exposed edges and step risings of your deck builds. Fully reversible, and available in our Essential and Classic and our Advanced and Deluxe ranges, our composite decking fascia boards present you with a wider alternative to our thinner skirting trims. The fascia boards are supplied in 3.6m length, and are colour matched to our existing composite deck boards, meaning you have 5 premium colours to choose from in the Advanced and Deluxe version and 4 colours in the Essential and Classic version.
Quick & Easy To Install
Here at NeoTimber®, we are always looking for ways for the composite decking installation process to be as intuitive and simple as possible. The fascia boards are designed to be easily screwed into place, either directly into the decking, or into the joists beneath it. When you are joining one fascia board to another, remember to leave a 2mm expansion gap to accommodate for rises and falls of temperature. The decking fascia board can be used as a standalone solution, or in combination with our edge boards and corner trim options.
Like the composite decking boards themselves, our fascia boards can be cut down to size with standard woodworking tools, though we would recommend using a power circular saw for the cleanest cut. To work out the quantity of composite decking fascia boards you will need for your build, measure the linear metreage of the exposed edges of your decking project. If you are still uncertain about your requirements, you can email or call our dedicated team of experts, who will be happy to help.
Ideal For Steps & Raised Decking
Our decking fascia boards present you with a seamless solution for finishing off your decking build, especially if you are building your deck space onto a raised area or are looking to incorporate steps into a sloped garden design, covering and protecting the joists and subframe beneath. The fascia boards can be face fixed to the framework, creating a flank that works in parallel for the rise of the step itself.
Remember, when building steps into your decking, you must do due diligence with your planning, to ensure consistency with the rise and treads of the individual steps. The 140mm width of the fascia board is in line with building regulations for the rise of a step and we advise designing your decking subframe and decking steps to accommodate a full width of the fascia board. This also has the benefit of ensuring installation remains simple, without the need of cutting down the length of the product.
