NeoTimber’s composite gates consist of stacked individual boards placed within an aluminium frame. Because it is partially made from the same boards that make up the fencing panels, it perfectly matches both the colour and texture of your completed fencing. With Slatted or Deluxe woodgrain textures to choose from, and antique, teak, chocolate, grey, and charcoal as your colour options, you can maintain a sense of uniformity for your garden perimeter.

As well as the boards matching the fencing, the aluminium frame of the gate is, like the capping rail, inserts and post caps, powder coated with a high-quality finish to pair with the tone of your chosen colour. This saves you the time-consuming process of painting a timber gate alternative, and instead allows you to retain a level of uniformity and consistency.

First impressions count, and this remains true for the entrance for an outdoor space. With timber and concrete gate options, staining and discolouration can occur, ruining the desired sense of consistency with your fencing material that you should expect. Timber especially is prone to fading from prolonged exposure to sunlight, which can strip the colour away from your gate unless it is appropriately stained.

Thankfully, the capped composite make-up of the composite fencing boards within the metal gate frame makes it extremely easy to clean. Any staining can be simply hosed down, or gently scrubbed out with a sponge, washing up liquid, and a bucket of warm water. On top of this, the composite boards are imbued with UV inhibitors, minimising the amount the colour of your gate will fade over time.

The aluminium gate frame of NeoTimber’s solution is designed to be fixed between metal gate posts. Like our composite post inserts, the metal gate posts act as a channel for the tongue-and-groove boards to be stacked on top of one another, allowing you to easily connect your completed fence panels and capping rails to the framework of the composite gate.

The gate post support is to be fixed onto a hard ground surface, with one post taking the gate’s hinges, with the other holding the gate in place. Though it is designed to work in tandem with NeoTimber’s composite fencing solution, you can also install it as a standalone product.

Unlike with a timber gate, the strength of both the aluminium frame and the composite boards ensures a greater longevity, as it is impervious to the effects of moisture damage and weathering. We are so confident in the long life of the composite gate, that it is afforded with a 25-year residential warranty, and a 10-year warranty for commercial builds.

Because the placement of the lock will need to be cut into the frame, the design also allows for right hand and left-hand installation, providing you with more flexibility in regard to where you position the handle to the gate.
