Project Background
This project took us to a garden in Ashby, Derbyshire that expertly managed to combine a gorgeous rustic design with stark modernity. The outline of the brief was to help renovate a pool area to better accentuate this beautiful green space. The pool was surrounded by a frame of crumbling brick walls and patio slabs and was in need of a contemporary update.
The composite cladding specified also needed to match and complement the existing charcoal NeoTimber® decking, the garden furniture, and the planting that framed the pool. Because the original stone walls had been weathered over the years by the elements, an alternative weather-resistant upgrade was needed to help the garden retain its striking aesthetic for the foreseeable future.

Our Proposal
Our approved installers – Cut Above Landscapes recommended using our charcoal coloured, slatted composite cladding, as our NeoTimber® decking had already helped to revitalise the patio space adjacent to the pool area. The additional cladding not only matched the existing decking but helped to update the aged, distressed stone walls, transforming it into something far more contemporary.
The charcoal colour acted as the perfect natural contrast to the natural, paler patio paving and furniture that surrounded the perimeter of the pool area. Both our cladding and decking is UV resistant and weatherproof, meaning this bold stylistic upgrade will be incredibly long-lasting, leaving plenty of time for the space to be enjoyed, instead of maintained.
